Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)

Otoplasty is a cosmetic ear surgery that reshapes, repositions, or reduces the size of the ears. It is commonly performed to correct prominent ears, asymmetry, or deformities due to genetics or injury.

Types of Otoplasty:

  1. Ear Pinning (Setback Otoplasty) – Brings protruding ears closer to the head.

  2. Ear Reduction – Reduces large ears (macrotia) for better proportion.

  3. Ear Reconstruction – Corrects injuries, birth defects (e.g., microtia), or previous surgeries.
